DEQ Seeks Public Input on Draft Report

DEQ is seeking public input on a draft report regarding measures to reduce persistent pollutants it will submit in final form to the Legislature on June 1, 2010. Copies of the draft report are available on the project website, http://www.deq.state.or.us/wq/SB737.

DEQ is making this Draft Legislative Report available for public input during March and April 2010. Staff will host public information sessions and discussions across the state to reach a broad audience interested in the topic. Members of the public are invited to provide input on the draft report. DEQ will evaluate any input it receives and changes will be reflected in the final report delivered to the Legislature by June 1, 2010.

A public information session is not a hearing, but rather an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the project and ask questions. An informational presentation will begin at the starting time, followed by a question and answer period. The meeting will end once all questions are answered.
