Sod for the Taking Next Monday my Hort 418 Class (Golf Course Maintenance) will be starting their course project which is the renovation of our existing sand-based bentgrass green. We will be using a sod cutter to remove approximately 4,000 sq.ft. of sod. Approximately half is A-4 and half is Providence. The Providence is 12 years old with Poa scattered throughout. The A-4 is a few years old with a small scattering of Poa. If anybody is interested in the sod, it is yours if you want to haul it. Please let me know and we can make sure to roll and set the sod to the side during our removal next Monday afternoon. Thanks, Rob Golembiewski, Ph.D.
