Describe your facility in 10 words or less: 
Semi-private facility with active men’s club

What is a little-known fact / fun fact about your facility?
Our golf course architect, William Bell, designed Riviera C.C. & Bel-Air C.C. also. We were built in 1927.

What’s your favorite hole at your facility?
No. 16

Your interning for a different position at your facility (for a day), what would that role be?
Anything that’s 40 hours per week and if something goes wrong I don’t have to fix it. Haha.

Do you have a superintendent dog?
Yes – an airedoodle named Oscar. He is a professional greeter / food connoisseur / squirrel hunter.

What’s your favorite tool in your tool box? 
Smart phone & Irrigation Key

What’s your favorite sports team and why? 
Blazers. Hometown team.

What led you down the path of becoming a superintendent? 
I enjoy landscape architecture and the multitude of activities to do.

What’s the biggest change that has occurred while you’ve been in the industry?
Rolling greens and spraying fairways.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve witnessed or done as a superintendent?
Had a mower fall in a 15′ sink hole. Everyone was okay.

My father and former superintendent from Monarch Dunes in California

What is one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to become a superintendent?
Thick skin
