OGCSA Scholarship Oregon Golf Course Superintendents Association provides up to two scholarships to students attending any turfgrass accredited college in the Pacific Northwest. OGCSA has provided scholarships to numerous students since the 1970's. OGCSA Scholarship The Bill Martin Scholarship was created through the kind donations from the Friends of Bill Martin and the Bill Martin Family in 1995. The Martin Family have owned and operated the Agate Beach Golf Course since 1960. This scholarship is awarded to the leading Junior candidate in Turfgrass management at OSU. The Norm Whitworth Scholarship The Norm Whitworth Scholarship, created in 2002, is the premier scholarship offered by the OTF for any Turfgrass Student, (undergraduate or graduate), attending college within the Pacific Northwest. The fund was established through kind donations from Golf, Seed and Turf Industry individuals and companies with whom Norm had close relationships. Norm was an active sales representative and advocate of Turfgrass for over 30 years. ELIGIBILITY: *Applicants must be planning to become a Golf Course Superintendent or a professional in a closely related field. *The Scholarship Committee Chairperson will have the final decision on the eligibility of applicants.
