Riverside Golf and Country Club is looking for a Second Assistant Superintendent/ Irrigation Tech. This position will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to help manage the property, with an emphasis on Irrigation. This position will report directly to the Golf Course Superintendent. Although irrigation is the main duty, the Second Assistant/ Irrigation Tech will also assist with daily maintenance operations and participate in and oversee special projects. This position includes supervising other employees, ensuring the completion of their duties, and acting as supervisor in the absence of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent. This position will be leading the hand watering of the golf course when needed, making irrigation repairs, and doing general maintenance to the golf course and irrigation system in the off season.

Duties
• Manage moisture content of the golf course
• Using moisture meter, hand watering, running manual irrigation, and eventually setting irrigation programming daily
• Performs maintenance & repairs to irrigation system
• Maintain irrigation parts inventory
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance practices to the golf course
• Diagnose and repair irrigation problems
• Maintain clean work area

Requirements
• Previous golf course experience and/or irrigation experience
• Some Irrigation experience required; Golf course Irrigation experience preferred
• Self-starter with the ability to manage time efficiently
• Work well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions
• Ability to move heavy objects and complete physically demanding work safely and efficiently
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary
