About this Position:

Portland Parks and Recreation’s Golf division consists of 6 municipal golf courses: Colwood, Eastmoreland, Heron Lakes Great Blue and Greenback, RedTail, and Rose City. We have an opening for the Eastmoreland/RedTail position.

The Eastmoreland/RedTail Maintenance Supervisor will lead the workgroups in the maintenance of the turfgrass, the stewardship of the lands, and promote inclusion and diversity at the golf facility. The Portland Parks Golf Program has a proud culture of collaborating with local organizations on environmental projects and programming, communicating with golfers and the general public about the program goals, and a supportive work environment for all staff to thrive.

The Eastmoreland/RedTail Maintenance Supervisor has an Assistant Superintendent (Greenskeeper II) at each site to help manage the on-site staff, course setup, fertilizer and pesticide applications, irrigation repair and maintenance, mowing schedules, tournament prep, seasonal supervision and any other duties associated with golf course maintenance. The successful candidate will have a public pesticide applicator’s license, driver’s license, and experience managing at least an 18-hole facility.
