USGA – OGA Meeting – The Power of Forward Tees

August 7, 2018 @ 7:30 am - 11:30 am

The Power of Forward Tees

The game is too hard, too expensive and takes too long! We have all heard these three negatives associated with the game of golf and especially during recent times. However, during the past few years, there has been a quantum change in philosophy as the golf industry realizes that bringing more players to the game will provide the economic sustainability needed for the game.

This free seminar will look at one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to attract more players to your golf course and improve the pace of play at the same time. Superintendents, golf professionals, general managers, course owners and golfers are invited to learn of the Power of Forward Tees.

The schedule will be as follows:

7:30     Registration, coffee/rolls

8:00     USGA Yardage Charts Is Where It Starts

Larry Gilhuly, Agronomist, West Region, USGA Green Section

8:45     The Basics of Building Forward Tees
