Describe your facility in 10 words or less:
Fun and relaxed course surrounded by pines and wildlife.
What is a little-known fact / fun fact about your facility?
Originally 9 holes until 2006 when it was expanded to 18
What’s your favorite hole at your facility?
Hole No. 17 Downhill off the tee, reachable par 5 with great views of Paulina Peak
What’s the biggest challenge your facility presents to you as superintendent?
Harsh winters, and seasonal labor
You are interning for a different position at your facility (for a day), what would that role be?
Marshall, would be fired before noon for correcting course etiquette
Excluding your current facility, what is the top golf course you’ve played?
LACC North / Silvies Valley Ranch. Completely different but enjoyed them both.
Have you had a hole-in-one? When and where?
Hole No. 7 Lakewood Country Club – Colorado 2008.
What is your go-to club in the bag?
3 wood
What’s your favorite sports team and why?
Cornhusker football. Born and raised in Nebraska.
Favorite all-time professional golfer?
Phil Michelson – Risk taker
On your last day, what is your meal of choice?
Ribeye, Crab legs, corn on the cob, and pumpkin pie.
What’s your all-time favorite movie?
Home Alone.

Contemporary Christian
What led you down the path of becoming a superintendent?
Enjoyed golfing in my late teens and thought I would go to school for it. I can’t fold a sweater so I went this route.
What would you invent right now to make your professional life easier?
An app that controls the weather
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to become a superintendent?
It can be a very rewarding job, but understand the work that is required.
